Caring with Grace.
Welcome to Grace Care, a family-run group of care homes in North Staffordshire, for adults with various levels of learning disabilities.
The homes were set up in 1993 by Grace Jeffries, a nurse with considerable experience of caring for vulnerable people. Her legacy lives on and her son and daughter-in-law, Ron & Julie Jeffries now run the homes.
Since this time, we’ve built up an excellent reputation as a caring and quality provider of residential care for adults with learning disabilities in Staffordshire.
Our mission statement:
“To support all of the service users in reaching their true potential, we will achieve this by ensuring that all the staff are appropriately trained to effectively meet the individual’s needs, listening to their wants and helping them to reach their life goals.”
Grace Care provides these service from both Allan House and Oaklea homes:
Skilled Care Team 24/7
Person centred support
Life skills training
Support with medical appointments
24/7 transport available
There is plenty going on in our homes, including:
Growing veggies on our allotments
Days out (theatre, cinema, bingo etc)
Music and art therapy
Strong links with local community
And many other activities chosen by our residents
"It is very apparent that the home is empowering, Person Centred and focused on meeting the needs of residents... The epitome of Dignity, kindness, respect and compassion."
Jan Burns MBE,

“The management team and staff are very approachable and always have the time to provide me with updates on my sister’s progress or health issues. They are very skilful in knowing how to deal with the residents and have worked wonders with my sister. When she moved in she would not eat or talk to anyone. Within a few weeks she was tucking in to the home-made meals and is now a very sociable member of the household who enjoys the outings which she is regularly taken on.”
"I have been working at Oaklea House since October 2016. I enjoy working here and supporting our clients with activities. The training I have done whilst here has been excellent. Also the management are understanding if you have any issues and they will support you.”
